The close friend of Mitchell Angela passed away after a car crash at the age of 15 years old. Mitchell was devastated by this and composed a song Angel for Angela on her debut album. Mitchell also discussed the experience in Chicken Soup, for Preteen Souls, and 7th Heaven: Nothing Endures But Change.
